Signe has been a member of Henning Larsen’s management since 2008, and as partner she is the founder of Henning Larsen’s sustainability department. She is a central figure in the increasing professionalization of the company, working diligently to ensure alignment between future projects and Henning Larsen’s global development.
She serves as the face of the practice through lectures, presentations, and jury reviews, and engages in close dia¬logue with public and private sector developers, potential clients and stakeholders on the development of visions. She typically helps to shape strategies rooted in the client’s core values, thereby ensuring that quality remains the decisive parameter in future projects.
Signe is one of the driving forces behind the growing focus on sustainable construction in the industry. In 2015, she was appointed Adjunct Professor of Sustainable Architecture Studies at Sheffield University in the UK. She possesses extensive knowledge of sustainability in construction and resource-conscious design. Signe is also at the forefront of efforts to link innovation and new knowledge with architec¬ture, making her a highly sought-after keynote speaker and frequent contributor to the public debate through participa¬tion in Danish and international conferences. She is also a member of a number of boards and advisory boards, and a founding partner in initiatives such as REBUS Partnership and Sustainable Build.
